Wargamez 2007 Success

About Me >>

Well WargameZ 2007 was a success.  Everyone left saying they had fun and was challenged.  We collected $71 cash and approx 35 cans of food for the Elks Rehabilitation Hospital http://www.idahoelksrehab.org.  We played for 8 hours with 4 teams, averaging 4-5 players per team.

Team 5 was our winner of both rounds and the overall winner of the competition.  They won small prizes for the rounds and a box of donuts for the overall winner!  Congrats Team 5 - Brett, Vog, Zuggy, Bridgette, Defraz, and Deb. What a great showing of 1337 skillz!

We had a guest DJ from WY.  Me mate "Dangerous Dave - HardmixX" played an hour set of hard and fast trance that helped get us pumped for programming!  Thanks Hardmixx.

Some of the special accomplishments of the night were the social engineering challenges / pranks.
We had 10 pizza delivered for free (not stolen)
A prank where the police tried to ticket me and arrest Lazarus
4 random hot (bootylicious) girls brought in the conference
2 six packs of beer delivered by bartenders
A manicurist gave TomHung a hand massage
A taco bell manager gave his social security number over the phone. (we called him back and confessed)
Each team got around the PIX firewall blocking our outgoing ports
and many cool accomplishments...

Special thanks go out to ALL the people who helped plan, help setup, loaned gear, helped take down, sell / make the concessions, told their friends about this, etc.  Thanks for making this a great event.  We could not have done this with out your help!
